Your little ones can experience the unique habitats of the animals from within and take a stroll on the wild side, coming into contact with these furry creatures. Your kids will be delighted to watch the lemurs, a ring-tailed, black, and ruffed species, as they jump enthusiastically from branches and tightrope and walking sophisticatedly along the strung high ropes  throughout. Be on the lookout for their leaping, hooting and pouncing. You might even get the chance to feed them, the lemurs spend a lot of their time relaxing high up in trees and eating anyway! They are very loud though, so be prepared to hear their powerful voices.

Get up close to the animals in large walkthroughs, where your little ones will love following in a penguins footsteps, sitting next to a meerkat and petting, feeding and wandering with the wallabies. Plus, conveniently, there are keepers on hand dotted around the site giving talks regularly about each animal, so you can learn all there is to know, as well as understand all about how to look after them.  Wander around the Peak Wildlife Park to have one of the best animal experiences in Stoke on Trent. See if you can mimic them! Be brave and get up close and personal with the world’s fourth largest rodent, the Patagonian Mara. At the African Village, you can find Pygmy Goats, while hilarious chickens scratch curiously in the sand. Then pop over to the meerkats in this arid environment that their home occupies, the kids will love meeting Lola, Layla, and the rest of the Meerkat family at Peak Wildlife Park.

Although the Wildlife Country Park is small, there’s actually still plenty to discover, you won't be short of a good time without the feeling of being overwhelmed. This is ideal for littler legs, plus the cleverly constructed enclosures allow the animals to be the healthiest they can be, content in their setting.  If you're after some more fantastic animal experiences in Staffordshire, you have to check out Trentham Monkey Forest for your chance to make friends with the Barbary macaques monkeys. And the experience really makes a difference as all the fees support conservation work.

After meeting and greeting the animals, making friends and more, your little ones can let off some steam in the outdoor play area with large sand pit, or they can head inside to the jungle bounce, which is a huge bouncy castle.  Plus, if you have energy left, there is a a wildlife trail to walk!
