From the Leisure Centre and the many outdoor sports facilities and the fun family events, there is so much to do here that all the family will enjoy. It’s the best way to get fit and have fun simultaneously, and you don’t have to spend anything here other than your time.

There is nothing more classic than a family day out to the park. Everyone will benefit from some time in the fresh air and children will love letting loose in the wide open spaces. There's even a dedicated children's play area with swings, including a wheelchair-accessible swing, a roundabout, a trim trail and more so the little monkeys can let out some energy. It is a great place to bring them for an afternoon of fresh air and activities.

The Sensory Gardens and Human Nature Garden are the perfect areas to visit for those who prefer a more gentle and calm excursion. With beautiful foliage and flowers, this part of the park makes for a relaxing active adventure away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

There are so many outdoor sports facilities for the public to enjoy. A highlight for the locals would be the tennis courts. Book a session in one of the four full sized courts to serve up some family fun. There is also a basketball court nearby that runs on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as some football pitches to have a match. Kids will love getting an hour or two of active time into their busy day.

Get your skates on in the largest skatepark in all of Horsham. Rollerblades, BMX bikes, skateboards and scooters are all welcome here to test their skills on the ramps and runs. Whether you’re a parkour expert or you’re just beginning, this skatepark caters to everyone, with obstacles made for people of all skill levels.

As well as all these wonderful outdoor sports facilities, Horsham Park also houses the Horsham Leisure Centre. Pavilions in the Park Leisure Centre is situated on site and welcomes all the public to come join them for some fitness fun. With a swimming pool and gym as well as a plethora of fitness classes on offer for both adults and kids, this centre has something active for all the family to enjoy. There is also an outdoor gym facility within the park. Visitors can make use of the equipment in the open air for no extra cost.

Why not join one of the community clubs? Horsham Park is home to the Horsham Boxing Club, which holds training sessions in the leisure centre for adults and juniors. The Horsham Parkrun scheme is also up and running, every Sunday at 9am the community organises a 5k run around the park. These activities are a brilliant way to get involved in the local area, meet new friends and improve your fitness along the way.

Horsham Park also hosts a variety of family events throughout the year. Some of the highlights include circuses, fun fairs, charity events and more! Local parents love the free Children’s Sessions that happen multiple times a week during the summer. For young kids aged 6 and under, there are specialised entertainment shows that take place at the bandstand. These shows vary from week to week, from live music to storytelling these events will delight children and parents alike.

Another great annual event is the Summer Sounds in Horsham Park programme. Every Sunday at 2.30pm from May to August there is a series of free concerts held in the bandstand that all the public is welcome to attend. From jazz to show tunes there is sure to be something on that will suit everyone’s taste in music.
