The yellow greenfinch has green plumage. It earlier was under the binomial name of Carduelis spinides; Carduelis is a Latin word for the European goldfinch. Later, they have been moved to the genus Chloris and are from the Fringillidae family.

The yellow-breasted brush finch has orange-red colors naped on its forehead, is also known as the cloud-forest brush finch. They are from the Passerellidae family.
